New FDA Guidelines for Sunscreen–Are You Protected?

Did you know that your sunscreen may NOT be protecting you sufficiently from AGING and SKIN CANCER? New FDA Guidelines came out this month for sunscreen labeling–you may have started to see the changes already (they went into effect June 1, 2012).  Major changes? The old labeling protected us from UVB rays, which cause sunburn, but NOT from UVA, which cause most aging and skin cancer–YUCK!

So go through your sunscreen–and make sure that you are protecting yourself and your family! Watch my 3-minute “short” video on the best steps to protect yourself.

For the powder sunscreens that I mention in the video (the kind that you can reapply WITHOUT messing up your makeup mid-day!-BRILLIANT!!!), check out the links below the video.

Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral Powder SPF 45 (I keep this in my purse and apply mid-day if I’m going to be out in the sun)
